July 28, 2017 – John 1:14
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14.
The Word, Jesus, became human and lived among us. He was without sin, filled with love and faithfulness. At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. John 16:23-24.
Our physical sight becomes cloudy as we grow older and we cannot see the world around us. When we follow and have faith in Jesus, our spiritual sight becomes 20/20 – and we clearly see the truth! Jesus is our Light and provides the clarity of our sight to God and abundant joy is clear.
Before Jesus came, the law was given through Moses. When Jesus came, things changed. We can pray directly to God. We pray in and through Jesus’ Name and God hears us. No man has never seen God. Jesus said, If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Jesus is near to the Father’s Heart.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6.
From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us. John 1:16-18.
