July 26, 2021 – Hebrews 11:5-7.

By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek him. By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this, He condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. Hebrews 11:5-7.

It is when we believe that God created the heavens and earth, our faith in God begins. When we trust in His Son, we become His Children. We have an identity and know whose we are and we become who we are meant to be in Faith.

Dear Lord, our God, help our unbelief and help us to find our Homeland in Him.  Help us to be pleasing and faithful to our Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

On my Grandfather Siemens’ Gravestone is this message, Blessed are those who die in the Lord. On my Grandfather Suderman’s grave is written, I know that my Redeemer liveth.  This is their message to the next generation and those who come after.

Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:20.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High. Psalm 92:1.

These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. Hebrews 11:13-14.
