July 26, 2016 – Psalm 15:1-2

Psalm15-1-2Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord? Who may enter your presence on your holy hill? Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Psalm 15:1-2There is that word again, BLAMELESS.  We always want to appear blameless and told we are right, we are thinking right and doing the right thing.  At least to others. The big cover-up.  Because we know that there will be punishment.  So we blame others for the things we are ashamed of doing.God made it easy to blameless because he loves us.  He sent Jesus to teach us about love by giving his life as a sacrifice for our sins.  He sent Jesus, so that we are forgiven for doing wrong.  When Jesus was raised from the dead, He returned to His place at the right hand of Father God.  Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to live in our hearts to teach us to live a pure and blameless lives. Why is this important?  It is a matter of living eternally where there is no death or crying or concerns about evil.  No one finds peace, love, unity or goodness anywhere else, but in Jesus!    I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. Philippians 1:9-10
