…we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain. And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation.

II Peter 1:18-20

We live in the Age of Expectancy, awaiting the second coming of Jesus.  We look into the skies for the cloud that will bring back our Savior Who will take us home to live with Him. We are co-heirs with Jesus in that Eternal Promised Land.  The Land where there is no Darkness, for the Glory of the Lord is our Light.  Where there is no more pain or sickness or tears.  In the Land where we will be made new.  The Land where there is no more time and the only season is one of Praise.The Morning Star we see on this side of Heaven is our reminder of the coming of Jesus Christ.  Reminders are all about us.  The sunrise is a reminder of the constancy of God’s Love.  The twinkling stars remind us of the enormity of His Love.  The Rainbow reminds us He has not forgotten us and we are His Children.  The Rain reminds us of Answered Prayers and Blessings that water and nourish our hearts.  The birds that fly in the skies remind us of God’s Care for all His Creatures.Let us use our every sense to watch for His Love, His Care and His Faithfulness.  When earthly Troubles rise like waters in a river, let us remember…  that God gives us His Peace.• Unfailing love and truth have met together.
