July 22, 2019 – Psalm 32:6-7
Therefore let everyone who is godly, offer prayer to You at a time when You may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach Him. You are a hiding place for me; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with shouts of deliverance. Psalm 32:6-7.
Life often seems like a rushing river threatening to capsize us into oblivion. When the cares and responsibilities mount in weight and number, we search for safety.
Sometimes the storm hits in an unguarded moment of seeking a forbidden pleasure. We all have failings and seek forgiveness through confession and repentance. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24.
Assurance of salvation through Jesus, comes from the knowledge of our Lord God being our hiding place, preserving us from trouble, and we hear the shouts of deliverance all around. It is when we listen to The Teacher as He instructs us and teaches us how to live in righteousness, we find the forgiveness bringing peace and joy into our hearts.
As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” I Peter 1:14-16.
The true light, Jesus, gives light to everyone, came into the world. But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! Psalm 32:8, 11.
