July 2, 2018 – Psalm 145:1-4

I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. Psalm 145:1-4.

Great is the Lord, “This very day, I will open the door of my Heart to You, O, Lord.  I will let your love pour in.” This is my prayer on this beautiful summer morning.

I remember singing, “Count Your Many Blessings” when I had no idea what a blessing from God could be.  I sang, “Amazing Grace” when I had no understanding of the enormity of how amazing His Grace is for you and me. We have no way of measuring God’s greatness.

Telling the generation who come after the acts of our Lord in our lives becomes our joy.  How is this possible?  Hebrews 11:1 begins with an understanding of Faith – Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.  Verse 3 – By faith, we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

Each verse begins – It was by faith!  Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Joseph, Jacob, Moses – lived by faith.  Then came – Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets.

Is it any wonder I sing with joy about your righteousness and goodness? May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14.

I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness. Psalm 145:5-7.
