July 17, 2020 Galatians 5:23-14

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13-14.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6. So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,  and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32.

What is the truth? Sin enslaves us, but abiding in Jesus, and reveling in His presence makes us free to serve and love others. Loving others brings us joy and peace.  In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35.

Dear Heavenly Father, May my one desire be to seek Your Presence continually and constantly serve You.  May the Holy Spirit guide me and teach me Your Way to love others.  Forgive my sins each day as I forgive others. May Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.

Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works!  Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Psalm 105:2-3.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25.
