July 14, 2017 – Psalm 18:19-20

He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because He delights in me. The Lord rewarded me for doing right; He restored me because of my innocence. Psalm 18:19-20

Where is your safe place, your ‘sweet’ spot?  The place you who God made you to be in? Not in this world, but in His Presence is our perfect place.

In His Presence, we are forgiven, and we delight in Him and He delights in us.  The world is filled with maps of where we should be, how we should be, and how we should look.  These are but detours from God’s Way, promising much and enticing us away from the Lord’s promises that prove to be true.

If we want to be perfect, there is only one way – God’s Way.  He is our shield, our protection, our solid rock.  He never fails.  He never changes.  There is no expiration date on God’s love for us!  God’s wisdom is greater than any man’s. His love is never-ending.   If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. I Corinthians 13:2.

Therefore, God elevated Him (Jesus) to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Philippians 2:9-11
