July 10, 2015 – Ephesians 4:13
This work must continue until we are all joined together in the same faith and in the same knowledge of the Son of God. We must become like a mature person, growing until we become like Christ and have his perfection. Ephesians 4:13One of the joys of life is watching a garden grow and produce food that we can eat. During the winter season, our joy is dreaming of a growing garden. So it is with a parent. Dreaming of their child and what they will become as mature adults. We do all we can to protect and love them as they grow within our care. Even as God who creates each of us, gives us the breath of life, He also implants the desire for eternity deep in our spirit.Just when we need it, God gives us encouragement and we find another brother and sister in Christ. Our joy and our faith continue to grow toward maturity. And our love for one another increases. We know where the Spirit of the Lord is …Where the Spirit of the Lord is There is liberty…. There is freedom….(Lyrics by Chris Tomlin)Thankfulness begets joy and peace, for Jesus is all that we want and He is all that we need. Ever. Whenever we thank God for his blessings, contemplate the giving of our Heavenly Father. As our bodies grow older and the pains and aches remind us, not of death, but of the eternal outcome that is ours through Jesus Christ. We must always thank God for you, brothers and sisters. This is only right, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love that every one of you has for each other is increasing. 2 Thessalonians 1:3
