January 6, 2021 – Colossians 1:13-14
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14.
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12. There is a physical darkness we see, and spiritual light of life we live in as the Friend of Jesus. Sin promotes a darkness of the heart.
When we follow Jesus, we have a gift no one but God can give through His One and only Son and that is Love. To Love is to Forgive. God’s Love is not complete without Forgiveness. For us to love one another, is to forgive one another.
To walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God is our purpose on earth.
O, Loving Father, the Giver of Life and Light, teach me to walk in your Light, only concerned about pleasing You in all we do, and in our thoughts and what we say. Help me to desire righteousness above all. I pray in the Name of Jesus, my Redeemer, Amen and Amen.
May we see Your Hand of Mercy and in all you created, visible and invisible. Help us to see Your Goodness and Glory all around us. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matthew 5:6.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together. Colossians 1:15-17.
