January 27, 2016 – Acts 2:24-25
But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip. King David said this about him: ‘I see that the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. Acts 2:24-25From the moment we are on this earth, we have a care giver who holds our hand to steady us on this earth. When we walk with him, we walk in his light. The dangers on our way threaten to create fear when we trudge along in life, unless we hold fast to His ways and trust Him. Even when we are old, our body rests in hope.
O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Ephesian 5:1-2
And what is the hope that is ours? Why do we shout our praise to those who are willing to listen?
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. I Peter 1:3-4
No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts his praises! My body rests in hope. Acts 2:26
