January 21, 2021 – Psalm 46:1-3
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Psalm 46:1-3.
The troubles in the world seem endless and wearing. Then we read in His Word, And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:28-29.
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4.
His purpose is to redeem us, and provide a way for us know, God IS. O, Lord God, it is Your Glory that I seek, I hunger and thirst for your righteousness, that there be no division between my Holy Father and me. For then my heart is at peace and my only desire is to know You are God. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.” John 14:1.
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:9-10.
