January 2, 2020 – Psalm 86:10-11
For, You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God. Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your Truth. Psalm 86:10-11.
What is the first thing we think about when we wake up? What is the last thing in our thoughts as our eyes close to go to sleep? Many years ago I listened as my little brother memorized the verse from the Bible, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Luke 12:34.
I didn’t understand that verse then, but God brought it back into my mind over and over again. And now I understand after I read, As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man. Proverbs 27:19. God sees our heart and knows what we are thinking every moment. We can hide nothing we do, say, or think from God.
Sometimes our path is not easy to walk on. And I smile, for I know God loves me and is teaching me His Way. I praise Him and glorify the name of the Lord. Our Lord God has given us the Bible! Sixty-Six Books with the wondrous things God has done because He loves each of us!
Then Jesus came! In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. John 1:1-4.
I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your name forever. For great is Your steadfast love toward me; You have delivered my soul from the depths of the grave. Psalm 86:12-13.
