January 2, 2019 – Psalm 84:5-6
What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings. Psalm 84:5-6.
In Nehemiah 8:10, we find the joy of the Lord is your strength. In Romans 4:7-8 is a quote from Psalm 32:1-2. “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.”
The growing gardens is clothed with blessings because of the rain God sends. The joy from our Lord is like a well that never runs dry. Only Jesus can forgive our sins and make our hearts sinless. John 14:6 says, Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
The Lord God is our Sun and Shield! He gives us grace and glory! His Word is truth! Everyone loves to read a ‘love note’ from someone, and a ‘love note’ from God gives us delight in this life. Jesus is our ‘Love Note’ from God.
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone. John 1:1-4
A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. Psalm 84:10-11.
