January 15, 2019 – Psalm 16:8-9
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. Psalm 16:8-9.
How well do you know God? Do you understand how He gives us great strength to do His Will? Do you enjoy thinking great thoughts about our Lord God? Are you obedient to God, even under threats like Daniel, when he prayed? Do we find contentment in the presence of God?
How often we fear unexplained sounds, actions, and death. Are you shaken by these happenings? Place your faith and your hand in the Lord’s hand and rejoice. When our hearts rest in Him Who LOVES us, we can be glad. Our body will rest in safety! Our body is in His safe keeping when we belong to Him.
When we become a child of God, we are adopted into His Family. We call God our Father, and Jesus Christ becomes our brother. To fully know God is having a close relationship with Him! And knowing the Joy of His Presence, and Peace only Jesus can give.
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27. Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 2 Timothy 6:6.
He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth! Psalm 116:8-9.
Praying this prayer on this beautiful morning – Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions. Psalm 119:18.
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever. Psalm 16:11.
