January 13, 2021 – Mark 11 20-22
As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. And Peter remembered and said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that You cursed has withered.” And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.” Mark 11:20-22.
Have faith in God! A direct command from Jesus! You will recognize them by their fruits. Matthew 7:16a. When we do not trust God and follow Him, the fruits in our lives testify to our choices in life. Having faith in God, means having no doubts about Who God is and desiring to please Him. We are to forgive others. Why? So that God can forgive us when we sin.
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:26-27.
Dear Father God, our Creator, hear us as we pray, and may our faith in You never falter. May your Amazing Grace help my faith and trust in You grow. Help my unbelief! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High. Psalm 92:1.
Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:23-25.
