January 1, 2016 – Isaiah 42:10

Sing a new song to the Lord! Sing his praises from the ends of the earth! Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands. Isaiah 42:10It is a new beginning TODAY!  A fresh start.  It isn’t about New Year’s Resolutions, it is about Singing the Lord’s praises from all around the globe.  It isn’t about the ‘now of life’, it is about His mercies, new every morning.  A second chance.  A new beginning.Would we rather be mired in today’s challenges and distresses, or sing praises to the Lord of Tomorrow?What good does it do, to sing when our hearts aren’t into it?  Dwell on praising the Lord, and He will lift us up.  When resentment and hurts threaten to drown out our song of praise, wait on the Lord.  He is our banner.  He will put a new spirit in us, and remove ‘poor me’ syndrome…He will give us a singleness of heart.  Only the Lord will give us a tender and responsive heart.  We will truly be His people and obey the Lord.  He becomes our Savior and our Tomorrow.  He specializes in Hope, Joy and Peace!Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, so they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God. Ezekiel 11:19-20
