February 9, 2016 – Romans 15:14-15
I am fully convinced, my dear brothers and sisters, that you are full of goodness. You know these things so well you can teach each other all about them. Even so, I have been bold enough to write about some of these points, knowing that all you need is this reminder. Romans 15:14-15These children, at play, stop to pray. No matter how old we grow…stopping to pray for the big things and the little things is walking with the Lord. This is honoring Jesus for we are pray in Jesus’ Name.Paul, who persecuted the Christians, proud of his education and the ‘who’ he left behind, to serve God. Paul endured shipwrecks, imprisonment and hunger to teach Jesus. He wrote the letters in the New Testament and took three journeys to teach about Jesus. Was he discouraged when people hated him? No. Why?Did you know that we have tests even when we are not in school? God tests our faith, do we really believe? If we say we love Jesus, but don’t follow and obey Him, is it true? When we say we love our parents and disobey, do we show our love, really? My brothers and sisters, you will have many kinds of trouble. But this gives you a reason to be very happy. You know that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering. If you let that patience work in you, the end result will be good. You will be mature and complete. You will be all that God wants you to be. James 1:2-4Paul asks for his brothers and sisters to pray for him in his struggles. He needs the help of God, as we all do. This phrase, do this because of your love for me, tells us there is love. Where does it come from — when we follow Jesus, we have brothers and sisters all over the world. People we may not agree with, but we love because God first loved us. This love is given to us by the Holy Spirit. When we love, we care. We choose to care and we choose to love…and pray.Dear brothers and sisters, I urge you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to join in my struggle by praying to God for me. Do this because of your love for me, given to you by the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:30
