February 8, 2016 – Psalm 19:1-3
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Psalm 19:1-3The sky is God’s bulletin board of Awe. All the things He created tell of the light and love of his creation. The colors are unending and pleasing to the eye. He creates each sunset and follows it with a dawn when darkness is pierced and we have a preview of his Glory. This a story of our walk in the short period of life we are given. We walk in darkness until we come to know Jesus, who is the life and light of man. Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. John 1:4-5. The wonders of light come from God, Himself. This light was reflected on his face after Moses descended from Mount Sinai with the ten commandments on stone tablets. How often we wonder why our spirits are heavy and why they change after being with the Lord in prayer and meditating on His Words. We learn to believe, have faith and trust in our relationship with Jesus our Savior. Sin is of the darkness and Purity is light. The following verse from Psalm 19 is my prayer…may even the words of my heart each day remain pure and reflect the glory of God and be pleasing in your sight, Oh, Lord, my Redeemer!May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14
