February 5, 2020 – Psalm 77:11-12
I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old. I will ponder all Your work, and meditate on Your mighty deeds. Psalm 77:11-12.
Remember, Ponder, and Meditate! Recall, Give thought to, Contemplation to or consider. The why of the acts of God, cause much thinking as our God’s intentions are not our intentions.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9.
What is our Lord God’s first thought? Loving us and leading us in His way. Redemption for His Children. Meanwhile, our first intention is our own well-being. God’s way is teaching us to love others.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38. With ALL, heart, soul, and mind. This doesn’t leave room for following other things, when we obey loving God with loving others.
What wonders, what might? The wonders of creation we see each day. Sunrise, Sunset, Stars hanging in Space, and the wonders of the way our bodies work. He transforms hearts from evil to following and giving God the glory and praise for answers to prayer. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3. Then follows the record of the faithful followers of the Almighty God in this chapter.
Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your might among the peoples. Psalm 77:13-14.
