February 5, 2018 – Isaiah 43:10

“But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord. “You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God—there never has been, and there never will be.” Isaiah 43:10

Just as Jesus witnessed for His Father God on this earth, we witness for Jesus.  Jesus was chosen to be the sacrifice for our sins.  For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Romans 3:23. No matter how often we declare we are good – we are not. 

Growing up, our parents often told us, our choice of behavior and the language reflected on our family name. Do you know the joy of being chosen to be a friend, to be on a winning team, and belong to someone?  We have been chosen to know and believe God, and know that our God is the Only God. There is no other God. There has never been any other God, and there never will be.

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6.  Isaiah proclaimed, There is no other God, and Jesus gives us the pathway to our Father God.  It is through His Son, Jesus Christ! 

Isaiah writes, there is no other Savior, and Mark 8:34 writes, Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.

  Romans 8:11- The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

“I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior.”  Isaiah 43:11
