2Corinthians1-3bMay God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.  2 Corinthians 1:2-4When our hearts are weary, we desire comfort.  When our bodies ache and groan we long for comfort and ease.  When our minds are troubled, we yearn for peace and comfort.  The source of all comfort comes from our Heavenly Father Who watches over us all.  Why does he comfort us?  We then, become His conduit to give his comfort and peace and joy to others.  It isn’t an end zone for God’s comfort that we receive.  It is a passing zone to give to others.I love the word, Yes.  Yes, to all God is.  Yes, to all He asks us to do.  Yes, to the Holy Spirit residing in our hearts!  Yes, and Amen, Amen.  God’s promises are true and steadfast.  And all God’s promises are fulfilled in Jesus.  Our Yes to God comes through and in Jesus. How often I wonder, “Is my faith strong enough to stand resolutely?”  And then I read, “It is God who enables us to stand firm for Christ.”  He commissions us.  He identifies us as his, by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts.  The Holy Spirit is the first installment, our guarantee that his promises are true.Praise be to the Father God of Jesus Christ, for His Comforter, The Holy Spirit, He places in our hearts.  He wraps us up in His Comforter.  Yes, Yes, Lord!  We love you!For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us, and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us. 2 Corinthians 1:20-22
