February 25, 2019 – Ephesians 3:19
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19.
The ferocious wind with gusts up to sixty mph tried to snatch the door from my hands. The sound of the wind was like deafening thunder, reminding me of this verse. Then comes the roaring of the thunder— the tremendous voice of his majesty. He does not restrain it when he speaks. Job 37:4.
Jesus loves us with abandon. Psalm 94:14. The Lord will not reject His people; He will not abandon his special possession. Jesus is enough for us. John 1:16-17 tells us how great He is. From His abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.
We often say, “I can’t!” God is ABLE to work in our hearts and do more than we might ask or think. We often label actions around us as amazing. The most Amazing and Loving God sent Jesus to teach us to love. God’s Son was crucified and raised from the dead in three days. And we sing, “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found, T’was blind but now I see.”
“From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.” Isaiah 43:13.
Now all glory to God, Who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21.
