IPeter5-7Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. I Peter 5:7Tense shoulders and concern in the eyes are tell-tale signs of worries that have settled in the heart.  No matter how often we tell ourselves that God will take care of us, part of us won’t let go and trust the One Who is Able.  The One Who is our Creator.  The One Who loves us so.We often watch a baby sleeping, with arms flung wide, resting without a worry.  We want to return to that sublime state of peace.  It is a choice, our choice to trust and love and understand that our Lord Almighty, our Protector, provides that cessation of worry through Jesus Christ. But how, you ask, can I reach that state of total relaxation?  Hold on to what is good – test everything that is said.  Test everything by the Rule of Love, not the rule of the law.  For the Rule of Love is of God.  How often we live by the rule of me, making what we think the last word in how we live.We cannot hide from God, he knows our every thought, word and deed.  Just as the Mother knows her child’s words and deeds….God knows us. from before we were born.  We can trust in Him and give Him our worries and cares.  What a relief to know that all we are is His.  He is our closest friend and companion.  Not for just a moment but for eternity, if we give Him our lives from the inside out.Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil. I Thessalonians 5:29-22
