February 21, 2019 – Psalm 136:23-24

He remembered us in our weakness. His faithful love endures forever.  He saved us from our enemies. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:23-24.

Each time He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.

Psalm 136 repeats this one phrase over and over.  His Faithful Love endures forever.  Each word gives us reason to rejoice.  Just as eternity lasts from before we were, until after we leave this earth, His love continues forever.

This phrase repeats over and over in this Psalm, like a praise song. Psalm 33:3-5.  Sing a new song of praise to Him; play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy. For the word of the Lord holds true  and we can trust everything He does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. In Him, we live rejoicing, knowing He feeds us. Trusting in Him,  He feeds us spiritually as well as physically, with the living water and the bread of life.  He provides the very air we breathe.

Then our Lord God sent His Son Jesus.  “My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” Matthew 11:27.  His faithful love endures forever!

He gives food to every living thing. His faithful love endures forever.  Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:25-26
