February 13, 2018 – John6:35-36
Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But you haven’t believed in me even though you have seen me. John 6:35-36.
What does a ripening field of wheat signify? God’s way of feeding his children through the labor of their hands. Plus their prayers and faith in God to provide rain and sun at the precise needed time. The crops provide food for the farmer’s family.
Jesus provides for our hungering and thirsting through our humility…and our belief and trust in God. We do not go away from God’s table, for we shall be satisfied.
God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Matthew 5:5-7.
Jesus will not turn anyone away, because God has given all of us the opportunity to come believing. Jesus came to do the will of God, Who sent Him. Jesus stands at the door, knocking and waiting for us to open the door. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20.
Will we hear Jesus knock at the door?
However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them. For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will. John 6:37-38.
