February 12, 2019 – Isaiah 49:14-16

“Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of My Hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins. Isaiah 49:14-16.

The only way to understand God’s love is to see a Mother lovingly hold her child in her protective arms.   A Mother who nurtures her child. She feels the pain her child knows, and loves with her whole heart.  A Mother who loves her child through the years, still sees her grown-up son or daughter with an enduring love.

This is a tiny portion of understanding God’s Love for His children.  God promises never to forget us. He writes our name on the palm of His hand.  Just as He calls the stars by name, and there are trillions of stars. Our Father God, who knows every thing, calls us each by name.  Before we were born He knew our every thought, every word, and every action we would take.  He plans where we are born, and He has a purpose for our lives.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  Jeremiah 29:11.  Without God there is no truth and there is no abiding love. Let the whole world glorify the Lordlet it sing His praise.  Isaiah 42:12.  May God lead us to glorify Him with deep love and hear Him calling.

Soon your descendants will come back, and all who are trying to destroy you will go away. Look around you and see,  for all your children will come back to you. As surely as I live,” says the Lord, “they will be like jewels or bridal ornaments for you to display. Isaiah 49: 17-19.
