December 7, 2016 – Micah 6:8

micah6-8O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8Him who has ears, let him hear God’s voice to know what God requires of us.  How often we want to know what to do about something in life that puzzles us.We never have to wonder with God.  His Word tells us.  His voice calls to everyone in Jerusalem.  After the coming of Jesus there are no lines drawn — Jesus died for everyone — no exceptions.  No one is left out.Fear the Lord if you are wise.  Why? Our world is in His control, our lives are determined by God. What is His purpose?  Simply that we are His Friends and we Learn to Walk with Him…moment by moment.  Verse 8 sets our guidelines – do what is right — love mercy — walk humbly with Him.What is the result?  I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27.I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:2For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17How great is the Lord, how deserving of praise, in the city of our God, which sits on his holy mountain! Psalm 48:1Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.”  Matthew 7:24-25

Fear the Lord if you are wise. His voice calls to everyone in Jerusalem: The armies of destruction are coming; the Lord is sending them. Micah 6:9
