December 6, 2018 – James 5:7-8

Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return.  Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring.  They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. You, too, must be patient. Take courage for the coming of the Lord, is near.  James 5:7-8.

There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a pace for you?  When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.”  John 14:2-4.

Then Thomas asked, “Lord, we have no idea where you are going, o how can we know the way?”  Do you sometimes wonder why we are to be patient when we don’t know the way?  How can this all take place? How long must we be patient?  Forever? When everything is ready!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.  Proverbs 3:5-6.

Who made the mountains? Who created the sea? Who put the stars in place and teaches farmers to be patient? Who sent Jesus to die for our sins?

Jesus, Son of God, instructed Thomas, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is.  From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him!” John 14:6-7.

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like His own, using the same power with which He will bring everything under His control. Philippians 3:20-21.
