December 6, 2017 – I Chronicles 16:33-34

“Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for He is coming to judge the earth. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.” I Chronicles 16:33-34.

All creation knows who their Creator is, and worship Him.  The lowliest insect,  the highest flying bird, the tallest mountain, and the sea reaching from shore to shore, know His faithful Love endures forever.

He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.  Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.
He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. Colossians 1:17-18.

Knowing leads to believing, believing leads to worship, and worship leads to trusting our Lord and Savior for salvation.  Jesus is in the saving business.  His love is faithful to all generations.  And we are thankful.

What was in the mind of Jacob Siemens II when he came to America with four generations of children at the age of seventy-nine? He wanted to worship our Lord freely with his family.  He cried out to God, Save us, O God of our salvation!  Why? so he was able to give thanks, rejoice, and praise God!

What do we give thanks for, rejoice in, and praise God for? First things first, begin with the most important.  Not the things of the world, but the blessings of the Lord, come first. His blessings come from unusual places, from unexpected kindnesses, from His people. Words of encouragement and hope fill us with thanksgiving.  Look for God’s People around you!  By their fruits, you will know them!!!

Cry out, “Save us, O God of our salvation! Gather and rescue us from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you.” I Chronicles 16:35.
