December 4, 2017 – Isaiah 12:3-4
With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! In that wonderful day you will sing: “Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is!” Isaiah 12:3-4.
This old children’s chorus – captured my heart long ago. It’s bubbling, it’s bubbling, It’s bubbling in my soul. There’s singing and laughing, Since Jesus made me whole. Folks can’t understand it, How can I keep it quiet? It bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, Bubbling, bubbling day and night!
Finding real lasting forever kind of Joy begins with praising God for what we have in Christ Jesus. Saying thank you, and being in a constant attitude of praise changes us from the inside out. Those things for which we are not grateful, we pray for!
When we learn to love like Jesus loves – And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. I John 4:17.
When we want to know how we love, all we need to do is look at 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
- Love is patient and kind.
- Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.
- It does not demand its own way.
- It is not irritable,
- And it keeps no record of being wronged.
- It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
- Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful,
- And endures through every circumstance.
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-38.
Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world. Isaiah 12:5.
