December 31, 2020 – Psalm 19:1-4

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them, He has set a tent for the sun. Psalm 19:1-4.

Have you ever considered the awe and wonder of God in the sky above us?  So many different colors in the sunrise and the sunset!  And then the shapes of the clouds speak to us. The ominous dark blue of storms about to surround us, with brilliant jabs of lightning slicing through the clouds.

Then there is the promise of God sealed by the colors of the rainbow! When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.  Genesis 9:16.  And then Jesus was carried away – And when He had said these things, as they were looking on, He was lifted up, and a cloud took Him out of their sight. Acts 1:9.

Two men watched as Jesus earth in a cloud, and said to the disciples, “This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11b.

O, Lord Jesus, who has all power, I pray you let the words of my thoughts and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight! I pray in the name His Precious Name, Amen.

The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge!  Psalm 50:6.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14.
