December 28, 2020 – I John 4:7-9
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. I John 4:7-9.
God is the essence of LOVE. Without God’s Presence there would be no Love in our world. There is no more beautiful to see kindness and goodness in those around us. Those who listen and respond with gentleness and patience.
How are we to find this love within ourselves? To Love God who sent Jesus to us to save us from the sins we commit. To know how to love is obey God’s commandments and follow in the footsteps of Jesus who showed us the ways to love – for sin was not in Him.
Dear Father in Heaven, let me walk with you in your goodness and love. Help me to recognize the joy of abiding in You. Help me to see others as others as brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which You have loved me may be in them, and I in them. John 17:26. Jesus prayed this prayer before He was crucified, and raised from the dead. Jesus loves us.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us. I John 4:10-12.
