December 24, 2020 – Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3.

Why did our Lord God send His Son to earth?  Is it just to celebrate Christmas?  He was born to show us ultimate Love. When we hear this, we know what love is. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.  You are my friends if you do what I command you.  John 15:13-14.

My Dad taught my children a life lesson, when he brought a baby lamb into the house at Christmas Eve, to hold.  Our son, Paul, tells the story in a video this Christmas. (https://vimeo.com/492924784).

Jesus taught,  I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.  John 10:11. Truly, He is our shepherd, and the Giver of Love, Joy, and Peace in our troubled world.  His way of life is of goodness and mercy through paths of righteous living.

Dear Lord God, Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.  The blessings of living in your Love, provides such delight, my cup of life overflows. I praise You, and give You all the glory forever.  I pray in the Name of Jesus.  Amen and Amen.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
 of whom shall I be afraid?  Psalm 27:1.  ‘Hold on to Christ the Lord!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.  Psalm 23:6.
