December 15, 2020 – Psalm 27: 1-2

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. Psalm 27:1-2.

Fear not, Do not be afraid! This is the message God we often hear from His messengers.    Fear is a dark whisper in our hearts.  What will erase this fear from our minds and hearts?

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.  I John 4:18.  When I read this verse, I knew how not to be afraid, LOVE God more.  How can we love God perfectly?  When the Lord God is stronger than the dark whispers of Satan.  As the Israelites were chased by soldiers to the sea, what did Moses say? “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” Exodus 14:14.

O, Lord, Teach me your way, give me strength and the courage to wait for You.  Help me to believe and trust in Your Goodness. Help me to live for You, alone.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.  Isaiah 26:3-4.

Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence. Wait for the Lord! I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; Wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:11-14.
