August 26, 2016 – Isaiah 26:3-4
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4Trust is not a song we sing, but a need and dependence on God we learn. We recognize His Son Jesus as the Prince of Peace as it is written is Isaiah! For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6I often ask myself, are my thoughts ‘fixed on Him’ who gives peace, or on the cruelty and the lies the God-hating world feeds us through the eyes of television? Through the so-called ‘progressive’ thought that labels the darkness as good our minds, our children’s minds are taught evil in the world, such as abortion and all other sins, are good and we no longer need God.Those who disobey God see kindness and love as weakness. They walk in darkness. Even as God is faithful to loving all, He is unstoppable and never gives up, we follow His lead and continue to follow the teaching and guidance of the Holy Spirit, God sent to live within us. We live in the Light of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is our SGS — Spiritual Guidance System. When we no longer listen to our SGS, the world we live in darkens. We are in bondage to evil and peace cannot be found in us.
Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me.Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence. Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous.Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. Psalm 27:11-14
Your kindness to the wicked does not make them do good. Although others do right, the wicked keep doing wrong and take no notice of the Lord’s majesty. Isaiah 26:10.
