August 22, 2016 – Psalm 145:16-17

When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. Psalm 145:16-17An open hand gives, a open hand receives, an open hand gives love, an open hand accepts love.  God gave us His love before we were born and before He created the world – with an open hand.  Jesus, His Son, opens His Hand…and invites us to come to God.  He feed us the food for our souls and with humility we know Him as our Lord and Savior.Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30God wants us to love Him, and Jesus is our bridge of love to God.  Call on the Lord in Truth.  In this world the truth is difficult to find when we our eyes are focused on the world.  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one can come to the Father except through me.  If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is.  From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” John 14:6-7Lord, I pray our clenched fists of anger are opened to the Giver of Life – Jesus Christ.  In His Name, I pray, Amen.The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
