August 2, 2021 – James 4:6-8
But He gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:6-8.
He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble His way. Psalm 25:9. Our example is Jesus..for He teaches us how to live in this world. He came to this world as a baby. He taught us to love one another. In everything He did on earth, He drew near to God the Father.
And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name. Philippians 2:8-9.
Great are You, Lord, teach me your ways, and give me the understanding to obey your commandments. I pray in the Name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:6-7.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you. Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, He who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor? James 4:10-12.
