August 19, 2020 – Colossians 1:10b-12
Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:10b-12.
Walk in the way pleasing to God. How sweet to give gifts to others that please them. A bond is created that cannot be broken when we love others. Where does this Love come from? From our Lord God. Love has strength and power for good. God’s love sent us Jesus, through the cross we are forgiven of sin. No other One can give us this freedom from shame and guilt.
The power of His Love gives us the will to help others and to endure each day with patience with joy. We give thanks to the Lord always for He transferred us from the Darkness of Sin to the Light of His Love.
Precious Lord of All, help us to be transformed in mind and heart to the will of God. Help us to discern the will of God what is good, acceptable, and perfect. Give us the strength to give thanks and rejoice in all things. We know Your Way leads us to be pleasing to You, Oh Lord, my Redeemer and Friend. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10.
“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.” Isaiah 45:22.
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14.
