August 15, 2019 – Isaiah 30:18

Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore He exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of  justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.  Isaiah 30:18.

God will take care of you, Through every day, o’er all the way; He will take care of you.  How many times we sing these words, and yet we do not understand relying on our own abilities, and not relying on God, causes God to wait to show His mercy and give all we need.

Moses tried to teach the Children of Israel, as the Egyptians came to annihilate them, to stand firm. “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” Exodus 14:14.  And  we will ask ‘Where is God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night?’   Job 35:10.

We have no understanding of the power and majesty of our Lord. Even His Voice is mighty. The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. Psalm 29:3-4.

Each night before I go to bed, I lift my eyes to the dark skies and praise God for creating the stars I see.  So great is His Power and Majesty and I sing Glory to His Name.

You shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one sets out to the sound of the flute to go to the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel. And the Lord will cause his majestic voice to be heard and the descending blow of his arm to be seen, in furious anger and a flame of devouring fire, with a cloudburst and storm and hailstones. Isaiah 30:29-30.
