August 14, 2019 – Psalm 119:1-3
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in His ways! Psalm 119:1-3.
Is any one blameless? There are two excuses we use often. “Everyone else is doing it!” and “He did it first!” When we learn that each of us are responsible for our own decisions we make each day, we have matured greatly.
When we walk according to the law of the Lord, we are forgiven. When we seek Him with our whole heart and walk in His Ways, only then can we be assured of being blameless before God.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid the price for our sins. He is our blood sacrifice. He is the only way! Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6.
It is not enough to keep our eyes on all His commandments, we will stand firm on following and obeying His commands every day. How is this possible? Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14. In the Name of Jesus, we can live forgiven.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast love in the morning, and Your faithfulness by night. Psalm 92:1-2.
Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments. I will praise you with an upright heart when I learn your righteous rules. Psalm 119:5-7.
