April 30, 2019 – Ephesians 6:10-12

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:10-12.

We dress each morning to face the day.  We plan what to wear by the day’s panned activities.   Your favorite shirt or lucky shoes won’t take you through the day. It is how we dress the soul.

Someone will probably comment on what we are wearing — or not wearing.  How can we prove our strength and our might?  How can we be ready to win all our battles from morning, until the sun sets?

These verses contain a list that makes us invincible in every battle.  Put on the whole armor of God!  Not just a piece or two.  Go to the ‘Armor Closet of Understanding‘  containing the items you need.  The Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Righteousness, Readiness shoes of the Gospel of Peace, the Shield of Faith, the Sword of the Spirit, and the Helmet of Salvation, and carry the Sword of the Spirit. (Acts 6:10-20)

Is the Armor of God for special days? No. Be at ready at all times, alert with  perseverance and constant prayer.  Our prayer each day is Peace to the brothers and Love with faith in Jesus!

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:13-14.
