April 26, 2021 – Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him, we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2.
Following God’s plan for our salvation through Jesus Christ leads to Faith in Him. “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” Romans 4:3b. Believing leads to Faith.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6. What is the most important in knowing Jesus? So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Faith in God is built on the Truth of our Lord God, our Hope everlasting is built on the Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection three days later. His motivation to go through this suffering comes from His Great Love from the beginning.
Dearest Lord God, help us to celebrate times of suffering. Help us enjoy the hope of God’s Goodness and flood our hearts with Your Love. I pray in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2.
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Psalm 23:3.
And that’s not all. We also celebrate in seasons of suffering because we know that when we suffer we develop endurance, which shapes our characters. When our characters are refined, we learn what it means to hope and anticipate God’s goodness. And hope will never fail to satisfy our deepest need because the Holy Spirit that was given to us has flooded our hearts with God’s love. Romans 5:3-5.
