April 25, 2017 – Ephesians 3:10-11

God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 3:10-11

Eternal Plan.  How often we plan and it is anything but eternal. How often our plans are changed by someone else or something else.  A ball game is rained out. The family vehicle won’t run.  Someone becomes ill.

What if what we choose to do is also God’s Plan?  This choice is the most powerful and lasting plan we can make.  This choice will last for a thousand generations.  God’s tells us to Love Him with our whole hearts, minds, and soul.  That means we will want to do what God commands.  And to love one another.

When we choose to love, we choose to follow God.  This one choice lasts for our children’s children’s children, who those who come after us.  It is our gift for generations to follow.  (Deuteronomy 7:9) How long is a generation? Between 20 and 100 years.  So how long is a thousand generations?  It can be anywhere from 20,000 to 100,000 years.

Now read the verse below, and know how this can be?  It is all because we believe in Jesus and have faith in Him, that we can come into the presence of God without fearing punishment.  Boldly and confidently.   And it all begins when we trust God’s word.

When I am confused about my choices, I remember the faith of my Parents and Grandparents. They always point to Jesus and “I know Whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is Able to keep that which I have committed unto to Him against that day.”  (2 Timothy 1;12 – My Dad’s favorite song).

Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.  Ephesians 3:12
