April 19, 2015 – Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8Nothing says The Lord God as much as knowing his thoughts are beyond mine and his ways are beyond my ways. It is a comfort simply to know I can trust what He says and what He does. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28It is just enough to know that however God works in our lives, however God thinks — if we love Him, Who is able, — all things will work together for good. We are called to be His according to His Purpose. When we know that — we accept, we worship, we adore, we trust, we love the One who calls us.He is our Friend. We treasure friends when we never have to question their thoughts or actions toward us. A rarity indeed. Friendship is a two-way street. Just as we never have to doubt our closest friend, our closest friend should have no reason to doubt us. It is the same way with our relationship with our Almighty God. Trust goes both ways, even if we do not understand the why’s and wherefore’s of God.Seek is a command — Call upon Him is a command. When we embark on our journey here on earth, it may seem to be a forever life, but it lasts only a moment. When our path strays into wicked ways, let us return to the LORD. He will have compassion and abundantly pardon us.It is never too late to return to God’s Way. Seek and let Him lead! Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21“Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God for he will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55:6-7
