April 13, 2021 – Isaiah 42:5-6
Thus says God, the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations.” Isaiah 42:5-6.
The Great I Am tells us of the gifts He has given us. He created the heavens and spread out the earth and all that is in it. He gives us breath and spirit. He calls us in righteousness and purity. He holds us by the hand. He keeps us. Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise from the end of the earth. Isaiah 42:10a.
Dear Father in Heaven, Your Son, Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life. Help me to believe, (John 14:6). I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful. Psalm 111:2-4.
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:5-7.
“I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them.” Isaiah 42:8-9.
