July 8, 2021 – James 5:7-9.

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord, is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. James 5:7-9.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.  Live in harmony with one another. Romans 12:15-16a.  I have often thought about my Grandpa who raised wheat as he planted, tended, watched God give Him a harvest of golden grains of wheat. His trust in the Lord came from praying and patiently waiting for the harvest.

Even so, we wait patiently on the Lord’s coming. Trusting Him with steadfast hearts without judging others.  The true Judge will come and judge us. Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. John 4:35. These are the Words of Jesus.  All around us are those who need the message of Jesus.

Dear Lord God, open my eyes and let me see the coming of the Lord remaining steadfast in our faith in You, even as Your servant Job.  Help us to have compassion for others for Your Name’s Sake.  I pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. James 5:13. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  I John 4:11.

Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. James 5:11.
