May 27, 2021 – Psalm 18:28-30

For it is You who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God, I can leap over a wall. This God—His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him. Psalm 18:28-30.

The third and fourth verses of the Bible (Genesis 1:3-4) deals with Light.  And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.

The scientist thinks of Light as energy, the sinner thinks of Light as purity, while the philosopher thinks of Light as Knowledge.  Jesus is all three – energy, purity, and knowledge. Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  John 8:12.

The relationship between the Lord God and Jesus the Lord is ours when we see Jesus as our Redeemer. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,  who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13.

O, Lord, my God, May You be glorified for sending your Son as our Redeemer, for when we see His Joy in You, we praise You.  Fill me with hunger and thirst for righteousness of purity, the understanding knowledge of your Love, and giving us Life.  Praying in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

The Lord lives, and blessed be my Rock, and exalted be the God of my Salvation. Psalm 18:46.

For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?— the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. Psalm 18:31-32.
