May 13, 2021 – I Colossians 1:9-12
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:9-12.
In every aspect of life, we choose who to walk with, as we do not want to walk alone. We draw strength from walking with someone who really loves us and helps us to be our best in every sense of the word. Someone who prays, encourages and strengthens us.
Someone whose dearest friend is Jesus. Following Jesus creates joy and patience. Have you thanked Jesus for His Goodness? The deafening sound of the world threatens to turn our eyes elsewhere.
Dear Father in Heaven, turn my eyes on Jesus, for in Him all things hold together. Without Jesus, all goodness vanishes. Help me to walk with Your Son, I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:3a.
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! (Trust and Obey).
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together. Colossians 1:15-17.
