May 6, 2021 – Romans 12:1-2

I appeal to you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2.

Our minds become new when we leave the things of the world behind. How is that possible? To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,  and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,  and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24.

We renew our minds, our way of thinking, by reading His Word which provides the Fruit of the Spirit in our thinking and the way we live. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness Gentleness Faithfulness, and Self-Control...which all point to Loving One Another.

Dear Lord God, give me the strength to love others, and forget self. Help me live peaceably with those around me. I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus, Amen.

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.  Romans 12:9-12.

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Romans 12:16-18.
